Turbulence in Poland’s Construction Industry
The industry's prospects are uncertain
In the first half of 2025, construction and assembly production in Poland dropped by 0.7% compared to the same period of the previous year. The situation remains particularly challenging in general construction, with a 4.2% decline, and in the infrastructure sector, which fell by 3.5%.
The exception lies in specialist works, the only market segment to show significant growth, with a 7.6% increase. This points to rising interest in highly specialized services such as technical installations and interior finishing.
Key findings:
- The overall trend in the construction market remains negative, particularly for large infrastructure and residential projects.
- The dynamic growth in specialist services may suggest that investors and construction firms are currently focusing on smaller-scale projects requiring higher technical expertise.
- In the coming months, further improvement in the construction sector may largely depend on the economic outlook and the availability of financing for both public and private investments.
